Osama bin Laden's son vowed revenge for the death of his father during a 21-minute speech posted on the Internet called "We Are All Osama," reported Reuters.

According to the SITE Intelligence Group, Hamza bin Laden, who is in his mid-20s, promised in the speech to keep fighting against the U.S. and its allies.

Osama bin Laden was killed in 2011 in Pakistani by U.S. commandos.

The Brookings Institute said Hamza bin Laden released his first audio message on behalf of al-Qaida last August and was introduced then by Ayman al-Zawahiri, the terrorist group's current leader. Brookings said the younger bin Laden was 24 at the time.

"We will continue striking you and targeting you in your country and abroad in response to your oppression of the people of Palestine, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia and the rest of the Muslim lands that did not survive your oppression," Hamza bin Laden said in his latest audio recording, reported Reuters.

"As for the revenge by the Islamic nation for Sheikh Osama, may Allah have mercy on him, it is not revenge for Osama the person but it is revenge for those who defended Islam," Hamza bin Laden continued.

Though Hamza bin Laden never mentioned the Islamic State by name, he called for cooperation in its fight against "the crusaders."

The Independent reported in May that an undated recording by the younger bin Laden targeted Israel and Syria, while again called for unity in the fight against its enemies.

Hamza bin Laden said the "blessed Syrian revolution" has made the possibility of "liberating" Jerusalem more likely.

"The Islamic umma (nation) should focus on jihad in al-Sham (Syria)… and unite the ranks of mujahedeen," the younger bin Laden said in May. "There is no longer an excuse for those who insist on division and disputes now that the whole world has mobilized against Muslims."

The Brookings Institute said Hamza bin Laden was with his father before 9/11 in Afghanistan and part of the time in Pakistan after 9/11.

Andreas Krieg, an analyst at London's King's College, told The Independent that while Hamza "has been labelled a crown prince" after his father's death, he is "not a key figure within al-Qaida" currently.

"Although his father still has a prominent role in jihadist circles as a mastermind, godfather and inspiration, Hamza has not yet done anything of prominence," King told The Independent. "I think Hamza is following al-Zawahiri knowing that he cannot emerge from his shadow just yet – if ever.

"Being the son of Osama Bin Laden alone does not provide you with kudos in a community of jihadists in which some have been fighting for three decades," said King.
