Paris Hilton Needs Full-Time Doggy Nanny for New 6-Ounce Pup: Report

By    |   Monday, 12 January 2015 10:40 AM EST

Paris Hilton reportedly wants to hire a full-time nanny for her new puppy, a micro-mini teacup Pomeranian, a source told the New York Post's Page Six on Saturday.

Hilton purchased the pup and one other for her mother for $25,000 last week, the tabloid reported. The canine is so small that it requires constant care and must be fed like a baby.

"She is thinking about getting the dog its own nanny," the source said, even though a second source told Page Six that the heiress was not serious and was joking with the comment. "It's so small she needs someone to feed it as if it were a newborn baby."

TMZ reported Wednesday that Hilton purchased the two Pomeranians at Betty's Teacup Yorkies, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, for mom Kathy Hilton's 35th anniversary gift. Sources said that Hilton gave her mother a 6-month-old, 12-ounce Pomeranian and kept the 3-month-old, 6-ounce puppy for herself.

USA Today spotted Hilton with the pooch at Kari Feinstein’s Golden Globes Style Lounge in Los Angeles last week.

"Okay, Paris Hilton. We get it. You have a new impossibly cute dog in your life," wrote USA Today's Bryan Alexander. "And you're feeling all warm and motherly with the pooch you’ve named Princess Paris Jr. But wrapping it in a baby blanket to go to a swag suite? Really?"

TMZ noted that this is the second time Hilton has made a trip north of the border to find a dog. In September, she spent $13,000 at Betty's Teacup Yorkies to purchase a 5-month-old Pomeranian she named Mr. Amazing.
