Paris Jackson’s touching tribute to her grandfather Joe Jackson reading, "I'll see you in my dreams," was posted on Instagram just hours after the death of the father of late music superstar Michael Jackson on Wednesday.

Paris Jackson, one of Michael Jackson's three children, posted the message with a photo to start what promised to become raucous public mourning of the musical creator of the Jackson 5 in the early 1970s who died of pancreatic cancer at 89, People magazine reported.

"Joseph Jackson, spending those last few moments with you were everything," Paris Jackson said, indicating she was with him near his death. "Being able to tell you everything I needed to tell you before saying goodbye was such a blessing.”

The patriarch of the musical family was apparently surrounded by many loved ones when he died.

"Everyone that came to visit you, came with love, respect, and so much pride in their hearts for you,” Paris Jackson said. “Proud of you, proud to be your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, proud to have your strength and share the dynasty you spent your life creating, and proud to be a Jackson."

"I will cherish every moment with you til the day I die, especially our last moments. Being able to hold your hand, lay with you and cuddle you, give you kisses all over your cheeks and forehead, meant more to me than you'll ever know."

However, as 20-year-old Paris Jackson emerged as the adult spokesperson for the family, there were media reports of the usual feuding among members of the family, even about who got to gather at his deathbed.

The Guardian published an all-encompasser headlined: “Paris and Janet Jackson go to war over Joe's funeral: Feuding relatives 'are already fighting over who will foot the bill for the family chief's burial'”

Funeral arrangements for the elder Jackson had not been released, The Associated Press was reporting, but Radar Online claimed to exclusively know some details.

“There will be a private viewing at Forest Lawn in the next couple days,” Radar quoted a family insider. “A private funeral will be held in a week.”

Joe Jackson had been plagued by health issues over the years, having previously suffered numerous strokes, the last known one happening in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2015. His latest health crisis came the following year when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Paris Jackson was joined in tributes by her brother Prince, who also posted a photo of him and his grandfather on Instagram.

"This man is and always will be an example of sheer willpower and dedication," Prince Jackson said. "He didn't choose the path that was the easiest but he choose the path that was best for his family. You taught me to take pride in the Jackson name and what it really means, you taught me dedication in the face of adversity and most of all you showed me strength and fearlessness. There is and never will be someone like you. Fly free and until we meet again The Hawk."
