Paula Deen's husband did not cheat on her with a "sexy brunette" and the couple is not headed for divorce despite recent tabloid chatter. The story to that effect in the National Enquirer is "not true," said a family source.
The National Enquirer reported this week that Deen, 66, "went on a warpath" after learning that her husband Michael Groover, 57, had been carrying on an affair with a younger mistress for more than a year.
"She had an explosive argument with Michael that ended with him
storming out of the house," the story claimed, according to the Daily Mail.

But a source close to the Deen family said there is no truth to the rumors.
"The story is not true," the Deen source told "Entertainment Tonight." "Paula and her husband Michael have never been closer and Michael adores her."
Deen and Groover, a tugboat captain in the Port of Savannah, Ga., were married in 2004.
This isn’t the first time the Enquirer has tried to tear Deen's marriage down. In April, the tabloid featured a story titled,
"Saggy Skin Sparks War With Hubby." In June, they touted her
"Marriage Meltdown," and the next month wrote about her
"$17M Divorce Nightmare."
Deen's public reputation is still recovering from the beating it took over the summer, when she admitted in a legal deposition to having used the N-word once before in the past. She was labeled a racist and her multimillion-dollar empire virtually crumbled beneath her — the Food Network booted her, stores didn’t want to carry her line of cookware or her books anymore, and her partners dropped her as a spokeswoman.
