Adele appears to be working on new material and she’s pulled in the legendary Phil Collins to write songs with her, even though he admitted he lives “in a cave” and didn’t know who she was when he was originally asked to collaborate,
Collins told Inside South Florida in an interview.
In the sitdown lasting a little more than 10 minutes, it's a small snippet in the middle that is making the story go viral. Aizer asked Collins what he “jams out to” today.

“I don’t listen to too much. I come across things by accident,” Collins said.
But then in an aside that got Adele fans everywhere excited, Collins added, “I’m just starting to work with Adele. She contacted me to write together, and I wasn’t actually too aware of what ... I live in a cave, I think, but she’s achieved an incredible amount. I really love her voice. I love some of the stuff she’s done too.”
Adele took some time off recording after becoming a mother, but rumors abound that she’s working on new music.
Collins hasn’t released any new material since 2002, and he announced his retirement in 2007 after the Genesis tour. But last year, Collins began talking about creating some new music, and
Rolling Stone magazine feels that working with superstar Adele would be a great way for Collins to get back to it.
That a small Florida publication snagged such a scoop seems to have irritated some of the bigger publications.
“Collins' statement begs all sorts of follow-up questions, but the interviewer moved directly onto Miley Cyrus and twerking,” wrote Rolling Stone's Andy Greene. “It turns out Collins hasn't heard of twerking, but he does think that Miley Cyrus is ‘great.’”
Adele is mum about her new music, but did tweet from her bed a thank you for the 10th Grammy she won Sunday.
