Phil Collins' ex-wife, with whom he reunited several years ago, dumped him by a text informing him that she had found another man, according to a new report. The pair had been living together during lockdown when Orianne Cevey dropped the bomb in July, according to court documents cited by The Sun on Sunday.
In her text, she reportedly said she had "found someone and would like to try to see if I can be happy again." The following month, Cevey, 46, married Thomas Bates, 31, and the newlyweds are now living in Collins' waterfront apartment and refusing to move out, the outlet reported.
Collins has allegedly requested a judge to grant an order forcing them to leave.
"An injunction is urgently needed to end an armed occupation and takeover of the Phil Collins' home by his ex-girlfriend and her new husband," his lawyers said, per The Sun.
Collins and Cevey, who share two children, tied the knot in 1999 but divorced nine years later. They reunited in 2015.
News of their recent split comes days after Cevey and Bates were spotted holding hands and strolling down a street in Miami, both wearing their new wedding rings, according to Daily Mail, which reported that Bates played the guitar for a band named Two Kings. The two-man group performed at bars throughout South Florida in 2015.
Meanwhile, reports have resurfaced accusing Collins' of dumping his previous wife, Jill Tavelman, by fax in 1994. He allegedly demanded a divorce and later told Tavelman he had fallen out of love with her.
