A Tennessee lottery player who purchased a Powerball ticket in Knoxville was the single winner of the contest's $259 million drawing on Wednesday, the biggest in state history.
Powerball announced the winning numbers in Wednesday's drawing were 14 18 25 33 49, with the Powerball 23 and Power Play 5.
The Tennessee Lottery said in a statement that no information is available yet on the winner so far, but if he or she decided to receive the lump sum winnings, they will take home $153.5 million. The lottery said the winner has 180 days to cash in the ticket.

"This prize is the largest in the history of the Tennessee Lottery and the second mega-jackpot winner this year," The Tennessee Lottery said. "In addition to Wednesday’s $259.8 million jackpot winner, a Bellevue mother and son won a Mega Millions jackpot of $61 million on Jan. 3."
"There were four tickets that won the $1 Million Match 5 prize," reported Powerball. "They were from Illinois, Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania. … The jackpot will reset to its guaranteed $40 Million for the next draw."
Jeff Carter, of Iowa City, Iowa, nearly nabbed the Powerball lottery on June 4 but came up one number short.
"I always check my numbers in the morning and usually go, 'Huh I got one,'" Carter told Powerball in winning the $10,000 prize for matching four of the five numbers. "And (Thursday) morning I got up and looked online and I'm like, 'Hmm, that's odd. There's four numbers and the Powerball.'"
Carter, 65, told Powerball checked his Powerball numbers in a local newspaper.
"I was really shocked when I looked at that," Carter told lottery officials at its Cedar Rapids office. "And then of course you're thinking, 'Why couldn't that other number be there?'"
Carter, a retiree, told lottery officials that he will used his $10,000 winnings to buy a new roof for the house he shares with his wife Marty and to help pay for an upcoming trip to the Four Corners Region.
"This is the first time I've won over four bucks," he told Powerball.
