Prince George met his namesake bilby when the royal family paid a visit to Australia's Targona Zoo over the weekend.
The 9-month-old future king of England visited the facility Sunday with mom and dad, the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge, and was introduced to
George the bilby, according to the Daily Mail.

"He's trying to grab his ear," mom Kate Middleton said to Prince William as Prince George reached for the bilby, who was named after the royal baby. "[Prince George] has got quite a strong grab actually," she added, according to the Mail.
USA Today described bilbies as nocturnal marsupials that look sort of like rats, only bigger and cuter like rabbits, with big ears and long snouts. They're indigenous to Australia and endangered.
The zoo later gifted the little prince with a stuffed toy bilby.
