Prince William was seen taking a little break from being a dad over the weekend as he surfed with a group of friends in southwest England.

The trip to Devon was reportedly for the prince's best friend James Meade's bachelor party, according to the Telegraph.

"You could see he was loving every minute," a sunbather who saw the group surfing told reporters.

William and Kate, formally known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are expected to attend Meade's nuptials next month in West Norfolk.

The royal couple welcomed their son July 22. Prince George Alexander Louis is third in line to the throne behind his father and grandfather Charles.

Hopefully William was able to enjoy himself with his friends. At a charity polo match last week, the new dad said he had baby on the brain.

"I was in baby mode out there, thinking about nappies," he told reporters. "I wasn't really in the zone."

The prince reportedly returned to duty with the Royal Air Force last week after his two-week paternity leave, according to Christian Post Europe. It's not yet clear if Kate and the baby will join him at the base in Anglesey or remain at her parent's Berkshire home.
