The “Purple Rain” house is for sale at a modest $110,000, indicating that the famous residence from Prince’s 1984 film of the same name is in need of some repairs.

Located at 3420 Snelling Avenue in Minneapolis, the “Purple Rain” house is listed on Coldwell Banker as a “historic” home that needs to be “rehabbed.”

“Revitalize this historic home which Prince featured in his 'Purple Rain' movie. This home needs to be rehabbed. Newer boiler in 2010. Close to Light Rail on a quiet street in the Longfellow neighborhood. Buyer to assume any R & R's on the TISH,” the listing reads.

But with a relatively modest price for such an iconic home, the 1,348-square-foot three bedroom, two bath “Purple Rain” house may still entice an avid Prince fan to purchase it and give it the loving care it needs. Although Prince never actually lived in this house, it was featured in the “Purple Rain” film named after one of his albums, according to the Star Tribune. The actual house that Prince lived in was on Lake Riley in Chanhassen, and he had that home demolished in 2003 after the death of his father.

In the “Purple Rain” cult classic film, Prince made his acting debut in a story that was directed by Albert Magnoli and was loosely based upon his own life, according to The Spreadit. The film follows “The Kid” as he embraces music as an escape from his abusive parents. The movie amassed $68.4 million worldwide and earned Prince an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score in 1984. The “Purple Rain” album sold more than 22 million copies worldwide and helped cement Prince as one of the overall best-selling musical artists of all time.

Prince also recently announced that a new album called HITNRUN is in the works with the band 3rdEyeGirl, according to the Inquisitr. Prince released the first single from the album on July 1, called “Hardrocklover.”
