"Leaders Number One" is a new, Vladimir Putin-inspired fragrance launched in Russia this week, and it features a silhouette of the dictator's profile on the front of the bottle.

"It's a warm scent, a textured scent. It's soft but at the same time it’s very firm," said Vladislav Rekunov, the Belarus-born perfumer who created the scent, according to The Guardian U.K.

Rekunov reported that the scent has notes of lemon, black currant, and fir cones, making it "attractive, matter-of-fact and natural."

According to The Washington Post, the cologne is just the latest in a "growing list of Russian products that promote a cult of personality around Putin." From T-shirts to smartphone cases, products featuring the former KGB agent abound.

Makers say the first production run is limited to 2,000 bottles, and they hope to make a female version of the product soon. Part of the proceeds will go toward helping a children's disease treatment fund.

The new fragrance retails at Moscow's luxury GUM department store as well as online for 6,500 rubles, or $95, Reuters reported. It comes in a 100 mL bottle, and vendors say they have already received orders from countries around the world including Germany and China.

While some may be ordering the cologne out of earnest affinity for the Russian president, The Post pointed out that the leader's over-the-top, macho style has also drawn many fans who love him ironically.

"Pictures of Putin shirtless, with animals and, the pinnacle of Putin-ness, shirtless and riding an animal have flooded the Internet," it wrote.
