A truck hauling Ramen noodles crashed when the driver fell asleep at the wheel near Rocky Mount, North Carolina, on Wednesday, spilling its load on Interstate 95.
"I thought I could make it down to the truck stops in Kenly, and I didn't quite make it, the
noodle-truck driver, Larry Scholting told WTVD-TV. “I kind of drowsed off, and next thing I knew I had taken out the guard rail."
The truck broke apart when it hit a bridge support, scattering packets of noodles along the highway. The wasted noodles were taken to a landfill, WTVD-TV said.
No one was injured in the crash.
The highway was closed for more than six hours after the wreck.
