A rape allegation is being investigated at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C., which is attended by President Barack Obama's daughters, the
Washington Post reported.
A female student told police she was forced to have sex with a male student on the Sidwell Friends' campus, but it wasn't clear where the alleged incident took place. The school is located in the 3800 block of Wisconsin Avenue NW.
A police report said the female student and the suspect had a previous sexual relationship.
The girl, who is 17 years, told police the encounter on campus with the alleged attacker, age 16, was not consensual, according to
WJLA-TV, The television station said no charges had been filed in the case.
Ellis Turner, associate head of Sidwell Friends School, told WJLA-TV that the school could not comment on the investigation.
"It is the longstanding policy of Sidwell Friends School to cooperate fully with any law enforcement investigation," Turner said.
The Sidwell Friends School is a pre-kindergarten to high school co-educational Quaker day school, which also has a campus in Bethesda, Maryland, according to its
website. The school has an enrollment of 1,149, with 572 boys and 576 girls. Tuition for a student at the school is $37,750 annually.
Malia and Sasha Obama have attended Sidwell Friends since 2009 when they were 10 and 7, respectively, according to the Post. Chelsea Clinton attended the school when Bill Clinton was president in the 1990s as did Al Gore's son Al Gore III.
Joe Biden's three granddaughters attended the school and late President Richard Nixon's daughter Tricia enrolled in Sidwell, too, noted the Post.
