Ric Flair is suffering "multiple organ problems" and remains in critical condition at an Atlanta hospital after complaining of abdominal pains last week.
The 68-year-old wrestling legend was taken to the hospital and reportedly placed in a medically induced coma for a surgical procedure earlier this week, TMZ reported.
According to CBS, which cited a report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, Flair's initial hospitalization was heart-related.
Now, his fiancée Wendy Barlow has updated family and friends on his condition via a post on her private Facebook page.
Calling the whole ordeal a “nightmare,” Barlow wrote that Flair still needs prayers.
"I have been unable to talk on the phone without crying and just feel shocked over events," Barlow wrote in the Facebook post, according to TMZ. "Not to go into too many details . . . no, he did not have colon surgery . . . it was another surgery."
Shortly following the surgery, Flair’s agent, Melinda Morris Zanoni, told Fox News Wednesday that, "He had surgery and it was successful and he is resting. We are all cautiously optimistic." There were no further details surrounding his surgery or hospitalization at the time.
The WWE legend’s daughter Charlotte, who is recognized as an indomitable wrestler in her own right, posted a thank you message after the influx of support for her father.
There have been no further reports on Flair's current condition, but support and well-wishes continue to pour in for the wrestling legend on social media.
