After months of rumors, Robin Thicke and his wife of eight years, Paula Patton, have announced they are separating.
"We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have
mutually decided to separate at this time," the couple said in a statement, according to Yahoo.

The two were high school sweethearts, meeting when Thicke was 14 and Patton was 16. They have one son, Julian Fuego, who was born in April 2010.
Rumors have circulated for months that Thicke was having an affair, and he was spotted kissing a woman in Paris in January.
Even with the rampant rumors about his cheating,
Thicke insisted to Elle magazine in October that his marriage was solid.
The article did, though, spend a lot of time discussing Thicke’s father, Alan Thicke, a notorious womanizer.
“The first time I saw a naked woman was when I went to take a shower one morning before school,” Thicke told Elle. “I was like, who is this girl in my shower?”
Talking about whether his marriage was a reaction to his father’s philandering, Thicke told Elle, “I’m sure when your parents get divorced when you’re seven, maybe as a kid I thought, I’m going to take care of my wife. I’ll be a great husband. But the real reason is because of the person that I met. We’re pretty sure we’ve loved each other for a few lives.”
After the split was announced, Thicke canceled a concert at Universal Orlando Resort Saturday to fly home and be with his son, Yahoo said. His tour will resume Tuesday in North Carolina.
A source told Yahoo’s Insider that Thicke “had been having vocal issues ... but also wanted to come back to Los Angeles to be with his son and family while the family made the final decision to go forward with the announcement of the separation.”
It was, the source said, worth the $500,000 Thicke lost for canceling the concert.
