Robin Williams' family and closest friends held a private funeral for the late actor and comedian the day after his death, and his ashes were scattered in the San Francisco Bay.
Radar Online reportedly obtained Williams' death certificate issued by the State of California. It's dated Aug. 20, and states that the ashes were scattered from the northern shores of the bay not far from the actor's home in Marin County on Aug. 12.

The Oscar-winner's third wife was in attendance, as well as his three children from previous marriages —
Zac, 31, Cody, 22, and Zelda, 25, according to People magazine.
Marin County Sheriff's Lt. Keith Boyd told reporters at the time of Williams' death that it appeared to be a suicide. He said the actor was found by his assistant hanging from a belt wedged into the top of a door jamb, and had appeared to have also cut himself with a pocket knife.
The actor's widow, Susan Schneider, said that Williams was battling depression and revealed that he was experiencing the early stages of Parkinson's disease. In light of his past substance abuse, she stated that as of late he had been clean and sober.
In celebration of Williams and his work, many fans have placed flowers, pictures, and shrines of the actor at some of his famous film locations. Many fans posted pictures from the house featured in "Mrs. Doubtfire" and the bench featured in "Good Will Hunting."
According to Mashable.com, the Emmys' executive producer Don Mischer said Wednesday the awards show is planning a tribute to Williams during the Aug. 25 event featuring his longtime friend Billy Crystal and singer Sara Bareilles.
