Ronda Rousey has offered Cat Zingano a rematch after defeating her in 14 seconds during Saturday’s UFC 184 fight.
After defeating Zingano, Rousey knelt before her opponent and hugged her, later admitting that she
felt bad after beating her, Fox Sports reported.
Zingano was sidelined with a knee injury in 2013, and last year her husband committed suicide.
Fox Sports reported that Rousey told Zingano: “I’m happy to do this again anytime, you know? It’s hard to feel like you tested yourself when something like that happens, so I think if we fought again it would be very, very different.”
Saturday’s 14-second fight was the shortest title fight on record.
“You know, sometimes fights just go down like that,”
Rousey said, according to The Washington Post. “I’m lucky to have a lot of experience in judo, and there were times I walked out and just got dumped on my head right away, and I just wasn’t myself. It didn’t mean that I didn’t deserve to be in that fight, or that I couldn’t beat the other person. It was just, for some reason, I wasn’t there. And I understand that feeling, and I know what Cat is capable of, and I would definitely like to see more of what she is capable of.”
Rousey's last three fights have lasted a total of 96 seconds.
Rousey is set to play an CIA operative in the coming film “Mile 22” produced by Peter Berg.
