UFC champion Ronda Rousey and champion boxer Floyd Mayweather have been trading barbs since last year, and she sent her latest salvo his way on Wednesday, saying she makes more money than him.

"I think I actually make 2-3 times more than he does per second," she told a photographer who confronted her on the street, TMZ reported.

She also took a shot at his intelligence, saying "when he learns to read and write, he can text me."

As Complex reported, Mayweather seems to have started the flap when he derisively referred to Rousey as "he" during an interview last year.

Rousey later highlighted Mayweather's history of domestic violence during an interview earlier this year, and made a joke at his expense during a red carpet segment of the 2015 ESPYs.

Mayweather subsequently bragged that he was richer and made more money than Rousey, which brings us to the latest round.

"[Floyd] said 'You make $300 million a night, then you can give me a call,'" Rousey explained. "And I actually did the math and, given the numbers of my last fight, I'm actually the highest paid UFC fighter and I'm a woman."

"So you actually make more than he does?" the reporter asked her.

"Yeah, I'm just more efficient," Rousey responded.
