Samantha Scheibe, the girlfriend who claims George Zimmerman threatened her with a gun earlier this week, says her boyfriend is depressed and has been contemplating suicide.
Scheibe, who began dating Zimmerman when his relationship with his wife Shellie went downhill last year, and her mother opened up about the
tumultuous relationship in a series of recent interviews with news4jax.com.
The women claim that Zimmerman, who was infamously acquitted of Trayvon Martin's murder earlier this year, often flies into rages, kicking Scheibe out of her Seminole County home, and moving all her furniture out, only to reconcile with her days later.

"She's scared is the bottom line," Scheibe's mother, Mason, wrote in a text message to news4jax.com.
After one argument, Mason Scheibe says Samantha came to stay with her, but went back to Zimmerman after he reportedly sent a still image from an intimate home movie he and Scheibe had made together to Scheibe's daughter.
"He's now threatened her in writing and even sent a portion of the video to her baby girl," Mason Scheibe wrote in a text message.
The latest volatile incident happened Monday, when
Scheibe and Zimmerman got into an argument (he told police she had "gone crazy on me") that escalated. Scheibe claims Zimmerman pointed a shotgun at her before barricading himself in her home.
He was arrested, charged with aggravated assault, battery, and criminal mischief, and released on $9,000 bond Tuesday.
According to FoxNews.com, this marked Zimmerman's fifth incident with police since he was cleared in July in the shooting death of Martin, a 17-year-old unarmed black teenager.
Zimmerman was pulled over in July for speeding on a Texas highway and given a warning. He was issued a speeding ticket in September for going 60 in a 45 mph zone in Lake Mary, Fla.
Later in September, he was accused of pointing a gun at estranged wife Shellie and punching her father in the face during an argument. Shellie Zimmerman later declined to press charges.
Then, in late September, he was pulled over on Florida's Interstate 95 and given a warning for his darkly tinted windows and tag cover.
