Her boyfriend, who hasn’t been identified, told authorities he awoke to Bade screaming, kicking him, and throwing bottles at him.
According to the crime report, the two apparently took the fight outside the home and then Bade went back inside the house to retrieve a shotgun. The boyfriend said Bade began hitting him with the firearm, later using it to shatter the driver’s side window of his car.
Bade also allegedly shot bullets into the driver’s side front tire of the vehicle to keep her boyfriend from leaving, the Chronicle said.
The man sustained bruises on his left arm and left ribcage but refused medical treatment.
Bade was arrested and taken to jail after authorities found her hiding in nearby bushes. While she admitted to hitting her boyfriend with the gun, Bade said the man wouldn’t leave her home when she asked him to do so after they began fighting. She also said he had hit her in the head and the closest thing for her to grab was her shotgun, the Chronicle reported.
Bade, who remained in jail on $5,000 bond as of Monday, told a deputy she smashed the vehicle's window because she wanted her belongings out of the vehicle.
She’s expected to enter a plea in court at an unspecified date.
