Sarah Harbaugh, wife of San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh, called in to a California radio station this week and critiqued her husband's fashion sense, most notably his signature pleated khaki pants.
"I will not take the blame for his outfits," Sarah Harbaugh told 99.7 FM's "Fernando & Greg" show Tuesday. "I've thrown them away many of times. I've asked him: 'Please, pleats are gone. Wear the flat front.' He has a flattering body."
Her husband's preference for pleated khaki pants is very specific though, Harbaugh says.

"You have to find them at Walmart," she said. "I threw them out and when he went to the combine, he found a Walmart. They were $8 ... $8! … And he pulls them up to the middle of his stomach; I'm like this is not a good look. You’re aging yourself 50 years. You look like Rain Man. I try every day, but you gotta let people be who they are. And that’s who he is and I still love him."
A Twitter user corroborated Jim Harbaugh's affinity for Walmart khaki pants with a photo from a February 2013 run-in with the notoriously loud-mouthed coach.
The kicker is that Harbaugh makes somewhere in the realm of
$5 million a year, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Sarah Harbaugh said she has convinced her husband to at least consider changing his style next season.
"I said next year would you please let me dress you or let someone else," she told 99.7 FM. "He agreed to that."
Jim Harbaugh's 49ers defeated the Carolina Panthers last week and are scheduled to take on the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game on Sunday.
