Sarah Jessica Parker is being sued by one of her former store managers after failing to pay her for working overtime. Heather Holt filed the lawsuit against Parker and her business partner George Malkemus as well as their LLC on Tuesday in New York State Supreme Court, Page Six reported.

In the legal documents, the ex-staffer claims she did not receive overtime wages for working over 40 hours per week from Dec. 31, 2018 to March 1, 2020. It is unclear which of Parker's many eponymous stores Holt worked for, or how much money is owed to her, but she is seeking the full amount plus interest, "liquidated damages and statutory penalties," according to the suit.

Holt’s lawyer, Lawrence Spasojevich, said his client was entitled to her overtime wages.

"All New Yorkers deserve to be paid for the time that they worked," he said. "Violations of the Wage Theft Prevent Act are serious, and every employer who allegedly violates the law needs to be held accountable, even celebrities such as Ms. Parker."

Parker and Malkemus launched the SJP Collection in 2014. The footwear line came to New York that same year and has since expanded into a global emporium.

"Our partnership has been both seamless and wonderfully joyful from the start," Parker wrote on her website.
