Scott Baio's wife, Renee, revealed on Twitter over the weekend that she is battling a brain disease in addition to two tumors that were diagnosed earlier.

In response to a tweet asking about her health, Renee Baio, 45, replied, "Besides having 2 meningioma brain tumors, in October 2017 I also learned I have Microvascular Brain Disease."

Scott Baio also posted about the diagnosis.

The disease causes small blood vessels in the brain to change and may damage white matter, causing mental decline, strokes, walking and balance problems, and dementia, Healthline reported.

Renee Baio was a stuntwoman and also suffered a head injury during a skiing accident in 1992. Doctors are not sure whether any of these injuries may have contributed to her current condition, The Blast reported. The brain tumors were diagnosed in 2014.

"All we know is she must live as stress-free, depression-free and anxiety-free life as possible and get a good amount of sleep each night. This new disease can cause strokes and dementia," Scott Baio told the Blast.

The couple has been married for 11 years and has a 10-year-old daughter, Bailey.
