It appears hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs has a solution to the problems plaguing the NFL — he said on Twitter he wants to buy the whole league.

“SELL ME THE NFL NOW!” Combs tweeted Wednesday.

He has previously expressed interest in owning an NFL team, CBS Sports reported, although even the cheapest team, valued at more than $1.5 billion, exceeds his estimated net worth of about $820 million.

Combs expressed a desire to have his own football league in response to the ongoing controversy over whether NFL team owners or Commissioner Roger Goodell can or should force players to stand for the national anthem before games, instead of allowing players to take a knee or sit in protest of oppression against people of color.

In Combs’ league, he tweets, players can be themselves, have a retirement plan, and "have freedom to be a great human and protest for your people without being demonized for your beliefs."

The NFL has seen a significant drop in TV ratings since more than 200 players protested during the anthem on Sept. 25, many in response to President Donald Trump’s comments that players who protested should be fired.

Goodell said Tuesday in a letter to all 32 NFL teams that players, coaches, and staff “should” stand for the anthem, although no official policy change has been made.
