Sean Hannity saved the life of a well-known talent agent and media executive who was recently staggered by coronavirus by helping the man get hydroxychloroquine therapy, according to Talkers Magazine.
John McConnell, executive vice president of talent and content for Workhouse Media, fell ill with pneumonia and was admitted to the Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach, Florida.
Upon arrival, McConnell's condition began to spiral downward and he and his wife expected the worst. It got so bad they made out their wills and said their goodbyes. Then things turned even grimmer when the hospital's medical staff began to prepare McConnell to be treated with a ventilator.
McConnell knew patients who went on ventilators had poor recovery rates. Mortality rates for ventilated patients reportedly range from 60% to 80%.
Hannity heard about the bad news and decided to act. He reached out to celebrity physician Dr. Oz, who then coordinated with McConnell's doctor to get the anti-malarial therapy administered to the radio executive.
Not long after the therapy, McConnell began to recover. Now, he says, he hopes he does not get exposed again to the deadly virus.
