Jerry Seinfeld joined Jason Alexander and Wayne Knight in a mini "Seinfeld" reunion made into a Super Bowl ad Sunday for the comedian's web series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee."
Seinfeld has done the web series since 2012, interviewing celebrities with the hook of picking them up in various cars and driving them to get coffee.

The Super Bowl spot had Alexander and Knight performing as their "Seinfeld" personas George Costanza and Newman, respectively. It took place at Tom's Restaurant in New York City, a diner made famous by the long-running show.
The end of the Super Bowl ad guided fans to Crackle.com where they could see the full six-minute episode, which played out like a mini-"Seinfield" episode.
USA Today reported that Seinfeld released a statement after the commercial aired explaining the project.
"Fox approached ('Seinfeld' co-creator) Larry (David) and me about doing some kind of 'Seinfeld' reunion for the halftime broadcast because of the New York connection," Seinfeld said. "So we thought throwing Jerry, George, and Newman into a 'Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee' was a fun way to do it. Larry and I wrote the script in one sitting, just like old times, and working with him, Jason, and Wayne was a total blast as it always was."
Numerous fans took to Twitter to express their joy in seeing Seinfeld, Alexander, and Knight back together.
Some, though, were not as impressed with the Super Bowl commercial nor the "Comedians In Cars" episode.
