A serial stowaway arrested multiple times for boarding flights without a ticket was detained once again on Tuesday for criminal trespass at Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport.

ABC News' Los Angles affiliate KABC reported that Marilyn Hartman, 62, of Northern California, has been detained and/or arrested at least a dozen times this year for her antics, prompting prosecutors to submit her case to a residential mental health program.

It seems Hartman began her attempts in February. Over the course of three days, she was arrested for attempting and failing to board three flights bound for Hawaii.

She successfully snuck onto a flight from San Jose to Los Angeles in early August, and was arrested upon arrival. Upon her conviction, she was sentenced to three days in jail, two years of probation, and was banned from the Los Angeles International Airport without a valid ticket.

That same week, Hartman violated her probation when she was caught at LAX without a ticket. She was subsequently sentenced to 177 days in jail.

A sheriff's official said she was released after serving only a few days because of overcrowding in the prison.

Los Angeles City Attorney spokesperson Frank Mateljan previously told NBC News that Hartman has said in the past that her ultimate destination is Hawaii.

Hartman herself said, "I had been in some pretty awful situations so I took desperate measures" and that "homelessness is part of the problem."

Asked how she continually manages to bypass TSA security at the airports, she's declined to comment, saying she doesn't want to encourage others.

"It is wrong and I was raised with very strong American values. I want to make sure our airports are secure and they don't need someone like me giving any hints on how to do [that]," she stated earlier this month.
