“Sharknado 6” will bring the fishy movie franchise to a close with a plot to challenge all the other installments in over-the-top ridiculousness, including time travel, Nazis, dinosaurs, knights, and even Noah’s Ark, Variety reported.

The cult classic Syfy films have ben captivating audiences since 2013, when the original ‘Sharknado’ debuted, drawing a massive social media response and resulting in four sequels that attracted millions of viewers.

"Sharknado" veteran actress Tara Reid, who will reprise her role in the upcoming film, announced on Wednesday the franchise was coming to a close with the release of “Sharknado 6,” Fox News reported.

“Thanks everyone for all the support along are crazy journey,” she tweeted.

Syfy confirmed that Cassie Scerbo, Vivica A. Fox and Judah Friedlander would be joining Reid in the upcoming release, while TVLine said the director of all five previous films will head up the sixth instalment.

Ian Zeiring, who featured in the previous films, will also be onboard the final project and be reprising his role as Fin Shepard, CNN said.

In “Sharknado 6,” he will be traveling back in time in an attempt to undo the damage that has been done to the world by the sharks in previous films.

The movie should be out in August, according to the official “Sharknado” Twitter account.

Meanwhile, most fans were excited about the sixth and final instalment.
