It turns out even the rich and famous feel lonely and use dating apps in the hopes of meeting "the one." That includes Sharon Stone. The 61-year-old "Basic Instinct" star revealed how she has an account on the dating app Bumble – and that it was blocked!
"I went on the @bumble dating sight and they closed my account," she said in a post to Instagram. "Some users reported that it couldn’t possibly be me! Hey @bumble, is being me exclusionary? Don’t shut me out of the hive."
Along with the post, Stone shared a screenshot of the message she received from Bumble notifying her that her account had been blocked.
"We're committed to keeping Bumble safe, which means we have to enforce certain rules when our values are violated," it read. "Your account has been blocked because we've received several reports about your profile being fake."
Stone's post drew thousands of likes and a few cheeky comments.
"Dont worry, i can marry you," one follower remarked.
"I knew it was a fake. Otherwise you would’ve totally answered me back! I just knew it," another wrote.
Stone has spoken before about her dating life and what it is like being a single mom of three. The actress has been linked to several men in the past, including model Martin Mica and actor David DeLuise, and previously admitted to People that she always envisioned her life having a partner in it.
"I think somewhere in the back of your mind you think maybe one day you won’t be a single parent," she said. "Then, eventually you realize, I think it’s better. I’m no longer hoping for someone."
Stone added that she was letting life take its course.
"I’m not trying to drive the direction [of my life] like I used to," she said. "I used to really have ambition and certainty, and now I only ask to be put where I’m meant to be and do what I meant to do, and be the best that I can be where I’m at."
