The sister of murdered actress Sharon Tate said she is outraged about the upcoming California prison wedding of Charles Manson to 26-year-old Afton Elaine Burton but said she's not surprised.

Debra Tate has been an advocate for her sister who was eight months pregnant when she was killed in 1969 by Manson's followers, reported The Associated Press. Debra Tate said the marriage says as much about the woman, also known as "Star," as it does about the 80-year-old Manson.

"It's always something with him," she told the AP. "I wonder how long it will take for her to figure out this is just a con. It makes me wonder what is missing in her life that she would want to marry an 80-year-old man. Is she a victim? Is she mentally deranged?"

Debra Tate's life changed on Aug. 9, 1969, when Sharon Tate and four others were found murdered inside her Los Angeles home, according to People magazine. The murders were part of a plan by Manson and his followers to start a race war they called Helter Skelter.

She was 16 at the time of the murder of her sister to was married to Roman Polanski, the film director who is now a fugitive.

"I didn't ask for this job or position, neither did anybody else from the survivors' families," Debra Tate told People back in August.  "There's no benefit financially or mentally or emotionally. But it is what it is."

Debra Tate attended Manson's last parole hearing in 2012 to speak out against him and support the family of other victims, according to the Los Angeles Times.

"They're nothing special. They're just little creeps," Tate said about Manson and his followers. "They're nothing that should be regarded in any way, shape or form. What should be regarded are the people that were lost. They were truly magnificent people."

Manson will not be eligible for parole again until he's 92, noted the Times.

According to TMZ, the highlight of Manson's wedding sometime next month at Corcoran State Prison is that he will get to kiss his bride but not much else.

Manson and Burton will be able to invite 10 people to the wedding who are not inmates, noted TMZ
