Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s Chief Operating Officer who authored the 2013 bestselling book "Lean In," has partnered with the NBA for a new campaign that asks men to support women at home and in the workplace.

"Men should support their wives and daughters at home and their female colleagues in the workplace, not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it’s great for them," Sandberg said in a statement, USA Today reported.

"From stronger marriages and healthier, happier children to better outcomes at work, the benefits of men leaning in for equality are huge."

Sandberg's organization, LeanIn.Org, released a PSA-style video saying as much on Wednesday that features LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and Stephen Curry. It sought to popularize the slogan for the 2015 campaign, #LeanInTogether.

"The NBA is committed to creating a work environment that expects — and benefits from — gender equality," said NBA Commissioner Adam Silver in a statement.

"#LeanInTogether provides men with the tools to share responsibilities equally in the office with our colleagues and at home with our families."
