Sia wore a giant platinum blond wig while walking the red carpet at Sunday night's Grammy awards, obscuring her face with an oversized version of her signature mop.
The Australian singer tweeted out a photo of her and 12-year-old dancer and star of her music videos Maddie Ziegler in a similar wig. Underneath, the pair wore matching custom Giorgio Armani outfits that were all black.
Sia, who charted in 2004 with her hit "Breathe Me," was nominated for four Grammys at this year's awards, and performed her megahit single "Chandelier."
During the performance, Ziegler reprised her eccentric but endearing dance routine from the "Chandelier" video, and was helped out by a surprise guest appearance from "Bridesmaids" comedian Kristen Wiig.
As usual, Sia sang with her back turned, continuing her tradition of keeping her face obscured. In previous live appearances, such as her appearance on "Saturday Night Live," she's worn a veil underneath her usual blond wig.
Asked in the past about her tendency to eschew the limelight, the 39-year-old
told ABC News, "I don't want to be famous, or recognizable."
"I don't want to be critiqued about the way that I look on the Internet."
