Former Notre Dame star and current Tulsa Shock player Skylar Diggins has been named to the WNBA All-rookie team in the image-conscious league, overcoming the rumors that someone posted nude photos of her earlier in the year.
Diggins was joined on the all-rookie team by WNBA Rookie of the Year Elena Della Donne, of the Chicago Sky; Brittney Griner, of the Phoenix Mercury; Alex Bentley, of the Atlanta Dream; and Kelsey Bone, of the New York Liberty,
according to the WNBA website.

The rookie team was voted on by the 12 WNBA coaches. Diggins, who was the third player selected in the 2013 WNBA draft behind Della Donne and Griner, led all rookies in assists, averaging 3.8 per game, and steals, 1.28 per game.
Her 8.5 scoring average was third among rookies, while playing her best basketball toward to end of the season, bumping that average to 12.2 points
over her final five games, according to the Tulsa World.
Diggins' totals in steals and assists were also Tulsa Shock team best as well,
according to the Shock's website. Tulsa finished 11-23 in the WNBA Western Conference this season.
A website called WorldStarHipHop.com claimed in February that it had nude photos of Diggins. Other sites, such as
BlackSportsOnline.com, though, cast doubt on the legitimacy of the photos.
Diggins, like during much of her career at Notre Dame, has been involved in charitable causes.
The Tulsa World reported last week that she surprised the girls' basketball team at McLain High School by donating 14 pairs of basketball shoes for the team.
"I started crying when she said she had been in our position before," Ariel Shelton-Brown, a sophomore basketball player at the school, said. "Now I can’t stop."
Diggins graduated from Notre Dame in May after finishing her collegiate basketball career as a three-time All-American. She was the Big East Player of the Year her junior and senior years. She is the Irish's career leader in scoring and steals and second in assists.
