Snoop Dogg's 24-year-old daughter, Cori Broadus, is recovering after suffering a "severe" stroke.
The singer and entrepreneur shared the health update Thursday on her Instagram page with a photo from the hospital.
"I had a severe stroke this a.m. I started breaking down crying when they told me," wrote Broadus, who is the daughter of Snoop Dogg, 49, and wife Shanté. "Like I’m only 24, what did I do in my past to deserve all of this?"
While Broadus did not elaborate on the specifics of her stroke or the recovery process, she has faced ongoing health challenges, having been diagnosed with lupus at the age of 6.
She opened up about her battle with the autoimmune disease in September 2023 with People.
"I've been good, better than I've ever been," she said, revealing that she recently opted to take a more holistic approach to her health. In the years leading up to that decision, she had endured a tough battle that included a 2021 suicide attempt.
"I stopped taking all of my medication like five months ago," Broadus shared. "I'm just doing everything natural, all types of herbs, sea moss, teas. I started working out, drinking lots of water. So now I think my body's like, OK, this is the new program and she's getting used to it."
Broadus explained that her decision was prompted by taking medications for a large portion of her life that made her feel like she "was going insane."
"I've had medication since I was 6 years old, depending on these drugs all my life. So I wanted better for myself," she said. "I wanted to change because it just became a lot. I'm only 24 years old, taking 10 to 12 pills every single day. So I kind of just went cold turkey."
Broadus added that she could feel the positive impacts of the lifestyle change and hard work.
"My body is not achy," she explains. "When you have lupus, that's one of the No. 1 things. You have achy joints, you have arthritis. And now I'm like, Damn, I'm not complaining about my knees, my feet, my hands, my back."
