"South Park" mocked Colin Kaepernick by rewriting the national anthem in its upcoming season premiere.

The iconic Comedy Central series mocked Kaepernick, performing “a new version of the national anthem that’s inspired by the San Francisco 49ers backup quarterback and his controversial kneeling protest against ‘The Star-Spangled Banner,’” Entertainment Weekly reported.

The song was featured in a promo of Wednesday premier posted on Twitter.

Kaepernick began his highly-watched protest during the NFL pre-season on the basis that he did not want to “stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.”

He told the NFL Media that to him “this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”

Kaepernick has not stood for the national anthem since giving this statement to the media in the preseason, Hollywood Life noted.

The 28-year-old quarterback has inspired others to protest as well. During kickoff for the 2016-17 NFL season Sunday, “players from the Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks, and New England Patriots, among others, protested in various ways during the anthem,” Entertainment Weekly noted.

However, while Kaepernick has received a lot of support from fans and players, he’s received just as much backlash, if not more, and the Comedy Central series has become part of that backlash, but in a comical way, The Hollywood Reporter noted.

The coming "South Park" season will consist of 10 episodes, and with this being the 20th year of the show, it will be competing with a 19th season that was considered the best in a decade, Entertainment Weekly noted.

Below are the full lyrics to South Park’s rewrite of the national anthem:

Colin Kaepernick is great.

Cops are pigs, cops are pigs.

Wait, someone just took my stuff, I need to call the cops.

Oh, no, I just said cops are pigs.

Who’s gonna help me get my stuff?

Why did I listen to Colin Kaepernick, He’s not even any good.

Oh, I just got all my stuff back.

Cops are pigs again, cops are pigs.

Colin Kaepernick’s a good backup…
