Roseanne Barr may have set the, er, bar when it comes to stars who have gotten themselves fired, but she certainly is not the first to jeopardize her career with an impulsive move.

Here are eight other stars who have gotten themselves fired from their hit films and TV shows over the years.

1. Charlie Sheen — The "Two and a Half Men" star was axed from his high-paid acting job during a very public meltdown in 2011, when allegations of domestic violence, alcohol and drug abuse, and questionable on-set behavior surfaced, CheatSheet noted.

2. Jeremy Clarkson — The controversial host of BBC's popular automotive show "Top Gear" was fired in 2015 after an altercation with producer Oisin Tymon at a Yorkshire hotel. The "unprovoked verbal and physical attack" arose after Clarkson was told that no hot food was available at the hotel following a day of filming

3. Megan Fox — The actress was sacked from the "Transformers" franchise and replaced by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in the third movie after comparing the film's director, Michael Bay, to Hitler in 2009, Hello Magazine noted. Fox recently opened up about the incident, calling it a real "low point" in her career.

4. Isaiah Washington — The "Grey's Anatomy" star was fired from his role as Dr. Preston Burke after making public homophobic slurs, first at his costar T.R. Knight during an on-set argument, and later when backstage at the Golden Globes, Us Magazine said.

5. Kevin Spacey — Netflix first suspended production on "House of Cards" then terminated Spacey's contract in the wake of actor Anthony Rapp's sexual abuse allegations against the actor in 2017, The Verge reported. The initial accusations against Spacey spurred dozens of others to come forth with sexual harassment allegations against the actor.

6. Danny Masterson — Netflix wrote the actor out of hit series "The Ranch" last year following sexual harassment allegations that emerged when three women accused him of sexually assaulting them in the early 2000s.

7. Ryan Gosling — Film director Peter Jackson shocked the public when he fired Gosling from his role as Jack Solomon in "The Lovely Bones" after the actor gained 60-pounds, Marie Claire reported. Gosling said he envisioned the character being heavy set, but that he "had gotten it wrong" and was left "fat and unemployed."

8. Taylor Momsen — The "Gossip Girl" actress was let go from the hit show in 2011 because of her "unreliable behavior," Hollywood Life noted. The axing came when the actress was focusing on her music career and band, "The Pretty Reckless."
