Suge Knight, widely known as the founder of Death Row Records that included the late Tupac Shakur, was indicted by a Los Angeles grand jury for threatening Felix Gary Gray, the director of "Straight Out of Compton."
The incident reportedly occurred in August 2014 while the film was being shot, according to Variety.
TMZ reported that Knight had threatened Gray via text message after being "extremely unhappy with his portrayal in the movie."
According to a copy of the indictment, "On or about August 8, 2014, Suge...threatened to commit a crime which would result in death and great bodily injury to Felix Gary Gray."
Knight is set to be arraigned Thursday.
Suge's legal troubles date to 1987 when his then-girlfriend filed a restraining order against him and he shot a man while hijacking his car, Variety noted.
More recently, Knight was arrested in 2014 on armed robbery charges in Las Vegas. That same year, he was shot at a club while attending a party hosted by singer Chris Brown.
That's not all.
In January of 2015, Knight was arrested on murder charges after he ran over Terry Carter with his vehicle while on the set of "Straight Out of Compton."
