She is a top supermodel but Emily Ratajkowski and her movie-maker husband Sebastian Bear-McClard are also "rent deadbeats" and "nightmare neighbors," their landlord claims, per the New York Post.

The complaints come from Antoni Ghosh, the owner of the 49 Bleecker Street apartment rented by the couple. He also happens to be their neighbor and said he is fed up with the loud music and constant parties. According to court documents, the disgruntled landlord has had to put up with his noisy neighbors since 2015. Adding to his woes, the couple allegedly owes him $120,000 in rent since 2017.

Ghosh's is now seeking to have them evicted – something that is proving to be difficult under the state's Loft Law. The legislature protects tenants from eviction without a certificate of occupancy and, while Ratajkowski and Bear-McClard might be well off, the Bleecker building does not have a certificate.

"Here is a prime example, in prime NYC real estate, where an uber-wealthy celebrity couple and tenant can take advantage and exploit a law that was intended for truly struggling artists and low-income families in need of affordable housing," said Carolyn Daly, a spokeswoman for the coalition of loft buildings that includes 49 Bleeker, according to The Telegraph.

Commenting on the debacle, Ghosh's attorney Michael Kozeksaid his client was "fighting to save his home, which he has lived in for years," the New York Post noted. "He's an artist. Born and raised New Yorker and a child of artists who themselves fought to save their homes, including under the Loft Law."
