When action heroes Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s new movie “Escape Plan” hits screens Oct. 18, viewers don’t even need to see the trailer to make certain assumptions – violence, fighting, and explosions.

The movie trailer below verifies all of the above.

It’s a long-awaited teaming up of two of America’s favorite beat-’em-up heroes. ScreenRant, which called this a “masculine buddy flick,” said it looks as if producers learned something from Stallone and Schwarzenegger’s solo movie failures, “The Last Stand” and “Bullet to the Head.”

“Here, there are no jokes about the stars being in their 60s or excess attention paid to the comedic and cheesy drama,” wrote ScreenRant's Sandy Schaefer. “Instead the trailer makes ‘Escape Plan’ look like a good old-fashioned helping of tough guys on a mission, cracking wise and winking at the audience along the way.”

Stallone and Schwarzenegger are good friends off-screen, and apparently their goofing around during the filming resulted in the decision to add a fake fight to the movie.

The two are pretty competitive and began fake fighting, and apparently they did it well enough that director Mikael Hafstrom wanted to put the scene in the movie, Business Standard said.

Stallone promoted the movie on twitter, and fans took to social media to express their excitement that the two favorites are starring together.

And some seem to have forgotten the heyday of these two tough guys:
