A group of tourists in Philadelphia got the surprise of a lifetime when they ran to the top of the famous “Rocky” steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and encountered Sylvester Stallone, who posed for a selfie with the group.
"Yes, it was very fun both for Mr. Stallone and the surprised visitors,"
Stallone's publicist Michelle Bega told the Philadelphia Inquirer. "When he visits the steps ... he prefers not to make an event of it — just be with the fans in a genuine and happily surprising way."
In town to film the seventh “Rocky” movie, Stallone was at the steps with his family when he walked up behind Peter Rowe and his friends who were visiting from California and said: "You guys got up here pretty fast. You're making me look bad," the Inquirer said.
The actor posed for a selfie with the three young men.
Rowe called the experience “unreal,” telling The Associated Press: "What are the chances of meeting him, that celebrity, right there?"
His friends, Jacob Kerstan and Andrew Wright, are attending Azusa Pacific University in greater Los Angeles, and have never seen a celebrity in person before their trip to Philadelphia, the AP said.
The story lit up Twitter.
