After a nationwide vote, April the Giraffe's baby boy finally has a name — Tajiri.
The Animal Adventure Park in New York announced the name early Monday after two rounds of voting, according to Inside Edition.
However, the name wasn't finalized until the baby's caretaker, Allysa, and fellow keeper, Corey, chimed in.
The two ended up picking Tajira.
"Tajiri was really what spoke to us," Allysa said in a Facebook Live video on Monday. "Now, Tajiri is Swahili for both hope and confidence. Hope is something that Tajiri has not only brought you guys as a community globally now but it is a hope for giraffes. We have been able to give giraffes a voice.
"Not only that, but we have also given that name 'confidence.' We are confident that we can move into a future where we have giraffes...Your children will have giraffes in their future."
The zoo said the baby giraffe will be called "Taj" for short.
This comes after the zoo live streamed April's pregnancy to millions of people around the world earlier this year, according to Us magazine.
April gave birth to Taj, her fourth calf, on April 15.
