Tanya Roberts' longtime partner, Lance O'Brien, is recalling the actress's final moments. The Bond girl, who starred in "A View to a Kill," passed away at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday night, a day after her death was incorrectly reported. She had been suffering from a urinary tract infection that spread to her kidney and gall bladder, O'Brien and the star's publicist, Mike Pingel, confirmed to NBC News.

Speaking with the outlet, O'Brien recalled the day Roberts was rushed to hospital. She had been complaining about feeling unwell after a hike she had taken the previous day, E! News noted. Then, on Christmas Eve, she collapsed on the bathroom floor at around 4 a.m. O'Brien called 911, thinking at the time that Roberts was going to be OK. He did not realize it would be the last time he saw her.

"I didn't think it was that serious," he told NBC News.

On Sunday, doctors contacted O'Brien asking if he could go to the hospital for an "end of life situation." He recalled one moment in which Roberts' eyes rolled into the back of her head as she passed out. O'Brien said he thought she had died.

"I felt totally lost. I was crying and crying," he said. "Mike [Pingel] asked what happened. I told him I said goodbye."

Speaking with Fox News, O'Brien recalled being notified by the hospital that Roberts had passed away. He later received a call from Cedars saying they wanted to talk to him about Roberts.

"I was a little p---ed off, I go, 'Well, she died. What are you talking about? She's dead,'" he recalled. "[They said,] 'No, she's not dead, she's right here.'"

After falsely reporting her death, Pingel explained on Monday morning to The Hollywood Reporter that he received confirmation about the actress's death but from "a very distraught person [O'Brien]."

"And so yes, this morning at 10 a.m. ... the hospital did call to say that she was still alive but it's not looking good," he said.

Looking back, O'Brien said the entire situation was a "terrible, terrible experience."
