The "psycho" woman who smashed a wine glass in "American Pie" actress Tara Reid's face at a London club last year was cleared of assault charges Thursday.
Maryam Hassan, 27, tearfully thanked the jury after the six women and six men declared her not guilty in the Nov. 8, 2012,
brawl at Beat nightclub in the West End, E! Online reported.

Hassan, a University of Sunderland graduate who works for the Carlton Cole Foundation, was accused of throwing the glass in the actress' face and nearly blinding her. Reid, 38, reportedly suffered a corneal abrasion that required a consultation with a plastic surgeon.
"I noticed a female who kept approaching the table a few times. I didn't know who she was but I guess she was not getting any attention. She came up to me and threw the contents of her drink over my chest. I reacted immediately and threw my drink over her," Reid said in a statement that was read out in court. "… She was then taken away. She said 'I'm not getting kicked out, you whore, you slut.' She went crazy, she went psycho like Naomi Campbell. It was so quick, she stood close to me within arms' length, and smashed the glass in my face."
Reid also suffered cuts on her forehead and on the bridge of her nose and was rushed to the hospital.
Hassan argued that she didn’t mean to hit Reid with the glass, saying it slipped out of her hand as she was being escorted from the club.
The woman was also acquitted of racially aggravated intentional harassment after a bouncer claimed she hurled a racial slur at him.
