A Taylor Swift fan is closer to paying off her student loans thanks to a gift from the artist herself.
"Hi you! I was thinking about you today and how you've been there cheering me on in the most thoughtful and creative ways. I really really really really hope you like it. I'm not a good painter but I think you're so beautiful and positive, even though you're dealing with the stress life brings, so I wanted to make you something," the pop star wrote to 25-year-old Kansas superfan Rebekah Bortniker, enclosing several gifts with the postal package.
"Now you're $1,989 closer to paying off those student loans," she added, playfully alluding to her latest album, "1989."
According to KCTV, Swift is known for keeping close tabs on her fans — aka "Tay-lurking" — and Bortniker caught her attention when she posted a YouTube video featuring clips of Swift set to the "Friends" theme song.
That's when Swift decided to paint a picture for Bortniker, write her a friendly note, and send her a box of gifts — including a check.
Being the YouTube maven that she is, Bortniker filmed the unboxing, and cried a few tears of joy throughout.
