Victoria's Secret's angel Jessica Hart is backtracking on her comments about Grammy-winning singer Taylor Swift not fitting in on the runway at the brand's fashion show last week. The pop star reportedly was insulted by the comments after her performance had received good reviews.
After being asked about Swift's modeling potential during a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show after party,
according to Women's Wear Daily, Hart said she didn't believe Swift could make it as a Victoria's Secret model. Then the model twisted the knife deeper, saying that country singer seemed out of place at the show.
"I think, you know what, god bless her heart. I think she's great, but, I don't know, to me, she didn't fit," said Hart. "I don't know if I should say that. I think what you find is that for a lot of us, we've been working for 14, 15 years; what it takes to make it here comes from experience and confidence and knowing how to be confident with yourself. I think it comes with age. It’s definitely the benchmark of all jobs."

Us Weekly reported that even though Swift never responded to the slight, Victoria's Secret chief marketing officer Edward Razek told the celebrity magazine that Hart's comments were "misinterpreted."
"I can tell you that everyone at Victoria's Secret was blown away by Taylor's performance," Razek told Us Weekly. "She could not be more beautiful or talented, that we felt extremely lucky to have her, and that she is welcome back to do the show anytime she wants."
Hart told Us Weekly in a story posted Sunday that she admires Swift and thought she did a great job at the fashion show.
"I adore Taylor Swift, and I was so excited to be with her at the Victoria Secret Fashion Show," Hart told Us Weekly. "What Taylor does on stage is nothing compared to what we do. I could never get up there and do what she does. She is a true rock star and she absolutely killed it the other night. Her song 'Fearless' was one of my favorite songs, and I own her first ever CD. I can't imagine why I would have said anything bad about her."
The 2013 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will air on CBS on Dec. 10.
