Could Taylor Swift and Katy Perry be finally burying the hatchet on their long-running feud, given that the latter special-delivered the former an olive branch – literally – before the opening of the former’s latest tour?
According to E! News, Swift posted Perry's sweet letter and olive branch on Instagram Tuesday, which Perry addressed "Hey Old Friend."
"I've been doing some reflecting on past miscommunications and the feelings between us. I really want to clear the air…" the letter continued, per E! News.
The Guardian reported the olive branch gift was delivered to the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, where Swift was performing.
Swift addressed the letter in an Instagram video.
"So I just got to my dressing room and found this actual olive branch," Swift said. "This mean so much."
Swift captioned the video, "Thank you Katy," per E! News.
The two mega stars started sparring after Perry reportedly signed on three backup dancers from Swift's Red tour for her Prismatic tour in 2013, The Guardian said, which led to Swift penning one of her biggest hits, the song "Bad Blood."
Perry told late night talk show host James Corden last year that she had tried to resolve the dispute without success, The Guardian said.
"I tried to talk to her about it and she wouldn't speak to me," Perry told Corden. "She started it, and it's time for her to finish it.
On Ariana Huffington's "The Thrive Global Podcast" last August, Perry said she wanted to move on from the controversy.
"I forgive her and I'm sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her," Perry told Huffington. "I think it's actually like, I think it's time. There are bigger fish to fry, and there are real problems in the world. You know what I'm saying?"
