Taylor Swift was the subject of an online prank this week when she was targeted by Internet jokesters who rigged a radio station contest so a 39-year-old man could meet her. Massachusetts' Kiss 108-FM
officially canceled the contest on Tuesday, according to MSN Entertainment.
"Disappointingly, we have determined that the integrity of the Taylor Swift's Biggest Fan contest has been compromised," Kiss 108-FM said in a statement. "In accordance with our contest rules, effective immediately, the contest has been terminated. We apologize to all of our loyal listeners who have participated."

Swift, the 23-year-old music sensation who often croons about her failed romances, had backed a promotion with the station to offer one lucky fan the chance to meet her backstage. Earlier this month, a poster to 4chan.org stumped for 39-year-old Charles to win.
"My creepy 39-year-old friend named Charles would like to crush all those girls' dreams (and then sniff Taylor Swift's hair cos he's into that) by winning this instead. ... Help him crush the dreams of these girls and give him a chance to make a complete a— of himself by blatantly just sniffing her hair with the cameras rolling.'"
For his part, Charles downplayed his love for Swift on the contest page.
"I'm a 39-year-old man and I love Taylor so much and don't care that both adults and children mock me for it," he wrote.
It didn't matter as Kiss 108-FM ended the promotion.
Swift was also a prank victim in August 2012. A contest offered to bring the singer to the school with the most Facebook votes, but
pranksters rigged the competition for a deaf school to win, according to Boston.com. The school was eventually disqualified, but received $50,000 from five different places, including a personal donation from Swift herself.
