Tim Wilson Dies: Comedic Country Musician Has Heart Attack at 52

Country comedian and musician Tim Wilson died of an apparent heart attack on Wednesday. He was 52.

Wilson is known for his comedic songs, including "Garth Brooks Ruined My Life" and "The Redneck Twelve Days of Christmas," which he co-wrote with Jeff Foxworthy.

His albums include “Tough Crowd,” “Waking Up the Neighborhood,” “Low-Class Love Affair” and “Tuned Up.”

Wilson was a regular on "The Bob & Tom Show," and the show’s website includes clips of some of his performances along with comments about the comedian.

“It is a very difficult day, and we couldn't be more saddened by the passing of a comedy legend. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tim's loved ones,” the website said.

Many posted condolences on Twitter, including comedians Jeff Foxworthy and Ron White.





Wilson grew up in Columbus, Ga., and most recently lived in Nashville. He was with his brother at the time of his death, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

He leaves behind a wife and two children.
