Timy Dutton died this week in a California skydiving accident after colliding with a fellow jumper midair. The professional skier was just 27.
The accident happened Tuesday at Parachute Center in Acampo, California, when Dutton and two friends, all of whom were seasoned skydivers,
went up for a jump around 1 p.m., ESPN.com reported.

"When our deputies arrived, they were told two skydivers had jumped from the plane and collided," San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office deputy Les Garcia told ESPN. "One of the skydivers landed and had an injured leg. The second skydiver was missing. We conducted a search and we found the second skydiver deceased with an un-deployed parachute."
Bill Dause, owner of the Parachute Center, told the website that the accident was not a result of malfunctioning equipment.
"He made no attempt to pull his parachute," he said. "None of the equipment failed. Both men were extremely experienced jumpers and they were doing something they'd done many times before."
Friends shocked by Dutton's sudden death mourned his passing this week.
"I never met such a universally happy and good guy. I never heard a single bad word spoken about Timy, and I can’t say that about many people," professional big-mountain skier
Cody Townsend told TahoeDailyTribune.com. "He’s just so happy all the time, so smiley, so funny, and you always wanted to be around him. It brightened up your day to see Timy."
"He was . . . always stoked, always happy, always saying the most inappropriate things and not giving a s*** about what anyone thought, and it'd be hilarious,"
friend Michelle Parker told Powder Magazine. "He was that ski buddy. There are only so many of those who come into your life and are on the exact same wavelength as you."
