Tom Brady is speaking about the infamous Lombardi Trophy toss that made headlines earlier this year. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback caused a stir after he was captured on video throwing the coveted trophy from boat to boat during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Super Bowl parade. In an interview with Michael Strahan that aired Wednesday on "Good Morning America," Brady admitted it may not have been the best of ideas.

"I mean, that was not smart for a couple of reasons," he said, explaining that there was not a whole lot going through his mind that day. "One is, if we drop it, that's a little bit of a problem. But, the worst thing that could happen is the edges on that trophy are so sharp — and had those things clipped one of my boys in the other boat, it would have been an ugly, ugly parade."

Brady, who appeared intoxicated in footage shared by ESPN of the event, added that, from what he could remember, the party was "pretty cool."

During the interview, Brady also chatted with Strahan about why he wanted to continue playing in the NFL.

"I still want to play, I got like a little sickness in me that just wants to throw a frickin' spiral, you know what I mean?" he said. "Once you stop you can't go back and do it, I got some more football [left in me] I mean not a lot, and I know that, but what I got left, I'm gonna go I'm gonna give everything I got."

Outside of his football career, Brady is also expanding his business ventures. The future NFL Hall of Famer will be launching an NFT platform called Autograph, which will see top names in sports, entertainment, fashion, and pop-culture collaborate with creators to develop unique digital collectibles, according to CNN Business.

"Autograph will bring together some of the world's most iconic names and brands with best in class digital artists to ideate, create and launch NFTs and ground-breaking experiences to a community of fans and collectors," Dillon Rosenblatt, co-founder and CEO of Autograph, said in a statement.

"Autograph is a first-of-its-kind, experience-driven NFT platform that brings together the most iconic brands and biggest names in sports, entertainment, fashion, and pop culture to create unique digital collectibles," the company, which was founded earlier this year by Brady, Dillon Rosenblatt, Josh Payne, and Richard Rosenblatt, further states on its website
